Troubleshooting cable connections
If connecting your device via a USB cable fails, do the following:
Check that the cable is properly plugged in and that you have selected the Nokia Ovi Suite (or PC Suite) USB mode on your device. To do this, go to Settings > Connectivity or Connection depending on the term used in your device, and under USB cable, check that you have Nokia Ovi Suite (or PC Suite) USB mode selected.
Disconnect the cable from your device, and re-connect it. If your device is still not detected, disconnect the cable, reboot your device and computer, and try again.
Check that you are using an original Nokia cable and the correct cable type for your device. For information on supported USB cable types, see System requirements.
